Electrical Resistivity

This is one of the oldest geophysical survey techniques, but as well one of the most reliable. It is based in the ordinate measurement of the resistance that the subsoil offers to the pass of an electrical current through it.

The electrical resistivity system RM-15 of Geoscan Research allows us to detect stone walls and other type of archaeological constructive features at three different depths simultaneously (0.5m, 1m and 1.5m). Despite this system is slower than the magnetic gradiometer and the GPR in terms of data acquisition, it is very effective in sedimentary and levelled areas.
